Introduction:

Punjab is gripped by sever water crisis. Its’ river water is allocated to other non-riparian states and its’ legitimate right to use water of it’s rivers. All this is done in violation of well set international norms regarding distribution and allocation of river water. Even Indian Constitution, Indian laws and Judicial Precedent is not observed when water of Satluj, Beas and Ravi was allocated to Haryana and Rajasthan. Punjab is largely dependent on ground water to fulfill its’ domestic, industrial and agricultural needs and result is that 118 (out of 138) development blocks of Punjab are over-exploited.

Another problem is that people of Punjab are almost unaware about the gravity of the crisis. In this background Sikh Students Federation is working on the issue to spread awareness among masses, especially the educated youth, on the issue.

Previous Efforts:

Sikh Students Federation has conducted five high level seminars on various aspects of Punjab Water Crisis and Loot of Punjab Waters at various institutions of higher education in Punjab.

Outlines of Current Project:

Quantity - 5,000 (Five Thousand) Copies are to be published.

Expected Cost - One copy shall cost Rs. 6/- (Six Rupees). So total cost of Project is Rs. 30,000/- (Thirty Thousand Rupees Only)
NOTE: Minimum Lot of 2,000 Copies of this document can be there. So minimum requirement to get first lot published is RS. 12,000/-.
